Choices

I’ve gone full circle and the elephant in this room is that one of my toes has a blister on it. Back on my birthday in 2016 I began a wordpress blog. Basically I didn’t know what I was doing and just wanted a place for myself to do some casual journaling // write about video games and random experiences. So I made a page and then got distracted and ended up creating a Blogger with Google instead.

I did some Blogging on there, lost my way and ended up creating a dozen separate Blogs all talking about the same thing. Then around the beginning of 2020 I stumbled upon the Wayback Machine and thought to myself “The Great Repository Of The Future Digital Wasteland”… But creating content on free sites didn’t feel right to me [I don’t know, I’m weird…] So I set out to buy a domain and didn’t really know how to do it and wasn’t even aware that I could do so with WordPress and I ended up going with the only information that was stuck in my head and that was GoDaddy.

Then I went crazy again, not knowing what to put on my website so I decided to purchase another domain, this time with Wix. Yes, I’m insane. I now have two domains with two different providers swarthos.com and caffeinatedcybergiant.com I then proceeded to do the only logical thing that came to mind, I linked the two and then went ahead and created a free version of Caffeinated Cyber Giant [in case I ever cancel the paid version] duplicated it entirely the best I could with a few tweaks here and there.

Now, here I am back on WordPress blogging away and I like it very much. [Of course all this content is being linked back on my own domain swarthos.com] I’m thinking I would probably have a good amount of content on wordpress if I had simply stuck with it from the get go, wordpress is great, easy to use and seems to be easily found by random people. Not that I was looking to generate a huge following or anything, I wasn’t and I mostly likely won’t. As stated this is content for the Great Repository Of The Future Digital Wasteland [which by the way is the name of another blog I have that resides back on my swarthos domain].

There are a lot of moving parts here, a lot of ins and outs as the Dude would say and the blister on my toe is hurting so I’m going to go put something on it, like a cream or some other ointment. I don’t know, what does one put on a blister that is on the toe? I’ve never had one before.
