Right On

Right // On // Man…

I had just finished posting to my SWARTHOS.COM Blog, Digital Wasteland // and it got me to thinking about a couple things. One: I have way too many blogs & vlogs and such and would probably be better off if I focused on one or two but I can’t! There’s something wrong with me//RIGHT ON!

B: < Get it? B… Is this, I’ve been reading other peoples blogs for a long time and I want to say that they seem really smart [also similar to one another in tone and rhythm] not criticizing that, it’s just that they do. If people & places weren’t mentioned in most of these blogs I read then you wouldn’t know if it was being written by the same person or a group of graduates from Brown University < I had to look that up.

What I’m saying is this, smart people, intelligent people all have a writing style that flows similar [and no, I will not go on a rant about the Dread Pirate of Xanga… although I really want to]. And it also got me to wondering about my Flow and tone. Basically what you are seeing here on this page is a crude representation of what is inside my head, my thoughts being made manifest in type upon this media//Right On!

I have to create something, be right back. Ok, it was a huge fail so nothing to see here.

These Martians also appear on my other sites. So in order to give this post some type of coherent thought and intention I will mention that my style and flow is based upon winging it without any plan or intended direction.

I’ve thought of doing some video game reviews//but I’m lazy and really, what good is a review when there are hundreds of them already. I think if I were to do anything gaming related [and I have so far] then it would be either to post a video of me playing a game [which I’ve done] or at the very most post my thoughts of the game without leaning too much toward anything technical or instructional.

For example, you’re all probably familiar with Pac Man and you have a pretty good idea what a review of that game would look like. Here’s what I’ll write:

Pac Man: Right on. You control this yellow circle head character with a joystick and guide him through a maze. Now I’ve had some real fun playing this game going back to circa ’81 or ’82… I’ve seen him naked. I’ve been to the third key//Right on. I remember hearing this song on the radio one day when I was driving down the street… Pac Man fever yeah yeah, sound effects etc. And I had no idea what in the HELL it was about. I honestly thought it was about college football and some how Pac 10 related. Pac 10 was a conference or something and I.. well… then my nephew came out to visit and we went to an arcade and he introduced me to it.

I then purchased a book by Ken Uston called Mastering Pac Man // Right On. And so I would then go out on Friday and Saturday nights, get liquored up and head to the arcade and make an attempt at getting the high score. I actually became quite successful at that but it wasn’t a mind blowing score by any stretch of the imagination. It was a solid 188,500 set on August 11th 1983 at Casey’s Arcade. Did I mention I was six years old at the time? No? Of course I didn’t, because I was actually 20. Right on!

Ok, I feel the need to go downstairs and eat some cookies before it gets too late. I may or may not edit this but I think it will probably be best if I just leave it as is, after all this is what the inside of my head looks like.

SWARTHOS -out
